Water Quality
San Gabriel Valley Water Company (San Gabriel) is required to test the quality of the water it serves in order to guard the health of our customers and the general public. Federal, state and local agencies all have a role to play in setting water quality standards.
The San Gabriel Valley faces many water quality challenges because of industrial and commercial activity, but by working with partners here, in Sacramento and in Washington, D.C., we are able to serve water that meets all drinking water quality standards.
Water quality samples are collected by the company’s state-certified water treatment operators and are delivered to an independent state-certified laboratory for analyses. Results are compiled in a monthly report and forwarded to the State Water Resources Control Board, Division of Drinking Water.
An annual Consumer Confidence Report, a summary of the results of all water quality monitoring for San Gabriel, can be found in the Annual Water Quality Reports. A new report is completed and made available by July 1st for the previous calendar year.
